I'm not sure why this was sent to the forum but it serves as a very good example of the sort of misinformation out there.  The headline states that people switching from cigarettes to smokeless tobacco are increasing their health risks when the study showed the opposite.  It is true that if you compare the switchers with total quitters, their risks were higher but the study's biggest finding was that compared to smoking their risks were a fraction of what they once were.  Which has always been our point. 

Its always been such a strange argument when someone says don't switch to smokeless tobacco from smoking because its not as good as quitting.  Its like saying, don't use seat belts because its not as good as not driving.  If someone is going to keep using nicotine, they should switch to a much safer form of delivery like either pharmaceuticals or smokeless tobacco.  Just lose that smoke.
